A place for Adoptive Parents to Connect, Share, Learn, and Support each other!

HERITAGE CAMPS FACILITATES A MONTHLY, VIRTUAL SUPPORT GROUP FOR ADOPTIVE PARENTS FOLLOWING THE SUCCESS OF OUR IN-PERSON GROUP THAT WAS FULL OF MEANINGFUL CONVERSATIONS. THIS SPRING, WE WILL HOST A VIRTUAL BOOK CLUB TO READ AND DISCUSS ‘YOU SHOULD BE GRATEFUL’ BY ANGELA TUCKER. REGISTRATION WILL ALSO INCLUDE A VIRTUAL Q&A SESSION WITH ANGELA TUCKER HERSELF IN MAY! 

WE WILL MEET ONLINE VIA ZOOM ON THE 3RD TUESDAY OF THE MONTH FROM 7-8:30PM MST TO SUPPORT EACH OTHER IN OUR PARENTING JOURNEYS.

Details:

  1. 3rd Tuesdays of the Month: January 21, February 18, March 18, and April 15th – MARK YOUR CALENDARS! 
  2. Online meetings only – welcoming and inclusive of all adoptive parents.
  3. $100 for 4 online gatherings.

Heritage Camps for Adoptive Families

Marne is an adoptive mom/SMBC (Single Mom By Choice) to three amazing young people.  As the Director of Information and Community Relations, Marne is passionate about supporting environments in which all members of the HCAF community experience connection, belonging, and growth.  Marne has been attending and volunteering for HCAF since 2009 as part of African Caribbean Heritage Camp and the group that launched Domestic Adoption Camp.  Professionally, Marne has worked in public education for 20 years as a high school English teacher, an instructional coach, and Culturally Responsive Education Specialist.  In her spare time, Marne enjoys watching sports, theatre, podcasts, reading, Zumba, and traveling.
