Cambodia Camp 2010 EventsOptional R&R Day 2010Optional Recreation and Relaxation (R&R) Day is an assortment of mix-and-match opportunities starting in the late afternoon, Wednesday, July 14. Optional R&R Day allows participants more time to adjust to the altitude, greet old friends and make new ones, and enjoy some of the recreational activities available at Snow Mountain Ranch (“SMR”). Once Cambodian Heritage Camp itself starts late Thursday afternoon, there is not very much free time in which to enjoy our beautiful surroundings. Wednesday Evening Casual GatheringsNo formal activities are scheduled for Wednesday evening, but there will be plenty of opportunities to get together with old friends and meet new friends, when at the swimming pool or skating rink or at dinner in the Commons. Cambodian Heritage Camp will reserve the arts and craft room for a portion of Wednesday evening to allow individual use of this marvelous resource – and as a great place to gather together. Thursday Noon Picnic Back for the Fourth YearYou loved the Picnic Lunch the last 2 years, so your Optional R&R Day Team will present a picnic lunch on Thursday. Whether you have arrived at Snow Mountain Ranch a day or more early or you plan to arrive at camp by mid-day on Thursday, take advantage of this opportunity to greet old friends and meet new ones. Please join us on Thursday, July 15th, from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, in Tilghman Park. We’ll have sandwich fixings, sides, chips, fruit, cookies, drinks, and vegetarian choices. Cost is $7 for adults and $5 for children (ages 3 – 12) with a family maximum of $20. There is no charge for children 2 and younger. Registration and pre-payment on line by Friday, June 25, 2009, is required. In addition to registration and pre-payment on line, please let Kay Webster (kgustafesq@aol.com) know which family members will attend the picnic. Thursday Recreational Activities that Require Reservation and Prepayment:Throughout the day on Thursday, group reservations have been made for recreational activities requiring reservations. Individual reservations for each of these activities (archery, canoeing, horseback riding, indoor climbing wall, zip line) must be made ASAP by e-mailing to kgustafesq@aol.com, so that individual times can be scheduled. Registration and pre-payment on line by June 25, 2010, is required for archery, canoeing, indoor climbing wall and the zip line. The SMR Program Center expects payment for archery, canoeing, indoor climbing wall and zipline to be made on a group basis (processed through Colorado Heritage Camps) – so once you make a reservation, on line prepayment is required. Horseback riding requires advance reservations, but payment is made directly to Sombrero Stables at the time of the ride.
And don't forget to make specific reservations for each of these activities plus horseback riding with Kay Webster (kgustafesq@aol.com).
